Illuminated flag
Client : Light4Safety
Developed in collaboration and exclusively for Light4Safety SA, this illuminated flag offers excellent visibility at night at several hundred meters. The flag fabric incorporates optical fibers concentrated on 12 LEDs. The product gives the race driver additional safety on the road condition.
One of the challenges was to design a complete system (a pole with electronics + battery + fabric) with a weight less than 800g while having autonomy of several hours.
The first prototype was tested at the prolog sessions of the WEC (World Endurance Championship) in le Castelet in 2018.
